The official Prince tribute concert finally took place last night and it didn’t disappoint.
With a career and catalog that spans five decades, it took five hours for the icon to be properly honored. The show took place at the Xcel Energy center in Minneapolis, Minn. Legends and stars ranging from Doug E. Fresh to Bilal all brought their unique gifts to the tribute, but it was Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan who stole the show.
The duo got together to kill Prince‘s “1999” and Khan’s “Feel For You” that Prince wrote, with Stevie on harmonica.
Morris Day and the Time also made their mandatory appearance.
