Nas had an amazing 2012, and he capped off one of the most successful years of his storied career with an amazing show at Radio City Music Hall.
Courtesy of Becks Sapphire and Hot 97, Elle Varner and Nas rang in the new year with a performance worthy of his album’s namesake, Life Is Good. A jovial Mr. Jones entered the stage with the same couch and green dress from his album cover.
He started the show with his Life Is Good intro “No Introduction” and ran through songs from his classic albums like Illmatic, Stillmatic and I Am. Old and young fans of the Queens champ were entertained all night as he jumped into songs from his recent catalogue like Hip-Hop Is Dead and Untitled.
Once the clock struck midnight, Nas invited bandmates and his entourage on stage to toast to the new year and to the good life in a special moment for the rapper who has been through a lot in the last couple of years.
Nas ended the show with a performance of “One Mic” while loosing his voice and sipping on a bottle of Dom Perignon the entire night. Check out photos from the entire show after the jump and video courtesy of Page 31
