In case you didn’t know, Kobe Bryant joined Twitter earlier today. The self-proclaimed “anti-social” Lakers star decided to finally enter the online universe that has probably been awaiting his arrival since its inception in 2006.
With the following tweet: “The antisocial has become social #mambatweets,” the father of two made it official, much to the delight of loyal Black Mamba followers across the globe. He’s following no one, and already amassed 350,000 followers, but not everyone is feeling the love.
As expected Bryant has been both toasted and roasted on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and maybe a few Tumblr pages (if it hasn’t happened already, it will). Coming off a not-so-uplifting response to why his team has been doing so badly this season, which elicited a verbal scolding from T.I. for ESPN’s First Take, best believe that Bryant’s Twitter mentions will stay on fire until end of day, or whenever he sends out another tweet—whichever comes first.
To be fair, there were loads of nice tweets launched in his direction, but the slanderous ones are much more interesting. Take a look at some of the tweets, and photos that made us laugh below.
Be safe on those Twitter streets Mamba. Sh-t can get real.
