Kendrick Lamar is as in-demand of an artist as there is in Hip-Hop right now. Despite “Memories Back Then” not being on T.I.’s Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head, The Kang made sure that his collaboration with K.Dot got the proper visuals.
Bobby Ray was also on set for the video as the good folks over at Rap-Up TV caught the behind the scenes visuals. This song originally sampled Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know,” and also features Hustle Gang singer/songwriter, Kris Stephens.
Via Rap-Up:
Director Phillyflyboy filmed the crew throughout different locations around the city. Kendrick Lamar pulled up to the scene in his own car while shooting downtown on the 6th Street Bridge.
T.I. and B.o.B soaked up the sun beachside at the Santa Monica Pier, and Kendrick met up with them later in the evening in the Hollywood Hills for the last shot of the day.
This song might end up on the king’s next album, Trouble Man: He Who Wears The Crown. After the jump, get a look at the photos from the video shoot on the west coast for “Memories Back Then” as well as some clips from “We Up” with 50 Cent and Kidd Kidd.
