This past weekend, the Hip-Hop world lost another one when Mr. Magic and his wife were killed in a car accident. After his untimely passing, Snoop Lion is the first rapper to pay homage to his former No Limit label mate . The two had gotten close when Snoop had signed to No Limit Records shortly after getting out if Death Row records contract.

The new found-Rasta rapper talks double-time in this new song that doesn’t completely mourn his death more than it celebrates the rapper’s life. Born Awood Johnson, 37, he grew up in the 9th Ward of New Orleans and released four solo albums; the first three of which were via No Limit Records. His debut, Sky’s The Limit, was released in 1998. Magic’s last album, On My Own, was released in 2003.

Get a listen to Snoop Lion’s “Heaven” down after the artwork and rest in peace to Mr. Magic.
