If you’ve been following an Instagram account thinking it was Nicki Minaj‘s, you have been bamboozled. Today (July 5), the” High School” rapper officially joined the photo sharing media network, partially as a means to weed out the fraudulent accounts.
“I do NOT have Instagram. OnikaM is NOT me. Guess I have to make a real one to counter attack. I’m sure that’s why Instagram won’t delete it,” tweeted the YMCMB Barbie late yesterday.
True to her word, she joined Instagram under the alias allpinkbarbiedreamhouse and posted her first pic shortly after midnight; a black and white drawing of her with the caption, “It’s Barbie B-tch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Since then she has shared a handful of images, including one of her with Pharrell and Nelly and another of her and Hot 97’s VP of Programming Ebro Darden. The latter picture was taken during a July 4th boatride hosted by Nicki Minaj and the Myx Fusions moscato beverage she is a spokesman for.
But, let’s not forget a promise the Queens rapper once made. “my 1st instagram pic gon be a big fat @ss w/baby oil being poured on it. who’s ready?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!,” she tweeted earlier this year. Patiently waiting.
