As if Jordan Brand haven’t accounted for enough of our “miscellaneous” expenses, they will deliver perhaps the most sought after sneaker — the “Laney” Air Jordan 5 — towards the end of the year.
If you were unaware, the sneaker is inspired by M.J.’s alma mater Emsley A. Laney High School in Wilmington, NC.
The kicks don a mostly white upper with accents of royal blue and yellow on the tongue and midsole. Hats off to the powers that be for doing a damn good job keeping this retro true to the original; the pebble leather and fat shoe strings are all there.
Believe it or not, the “Laney” wasn’t one of the more popular release when the kicks debuted in 2000. But with the thirst currently surrounding exclusive shoes, we doubt that will be the case this time.
