This week has been a whirlwind of good music, commentary from Hip-Hop talking heads, and the like. Credit that to a beastly verse from a certain good kid from a m.A.A.d city. However, this was only one of a few quality tracks to release over the past seven days.

For this installment of The Wrap Up: Hip-Hop Wired’s Top 10 Songs Of The Week, we’ll get listeners acclimated to a host of new tunes from some of the best doing it and a few newcomers. The West Coast had another strong showing. We saw a long-awaited drop from one of the game’s all-around most talented.

Hit the jump to hear the best Rap music has to offer outside of the obvious choice (though that will appear, too). Give us your thoughts in the comments.

Terrace Martin ft. Kendrick Lamar – “Triangleship”

What the West Coast native lacks in lyrical prowess, he makes up for with content, musical direction, and more. See the example above.

SZA – “Teen Spirit” (Prod. By WondaGurl)

TDE’s latest signee looks to make an impact in the game with her buttery smooth vocals. Continuing to do so shouldn’t be a problem if she delivers more material up to this standard.

Justine Skye ft. Joey Badass – “Messing With You”

The Atlantic Records affiliated singer paired with the Brooklyn MC to create a smooth love song. How can you be mad at that?

Captain Murphy ft. Earl Sweatshirt, Viktor Vaughn (MF DOOM), & Thundercat – “Between Villains”

The line up of MCs alone makes this a worthy addition to this list. That is all.

Skyzoo – “Along The Way”

One of Brooklyn’s best lyricists spit over Jay Z’s classic, “Allure.” The bars are potent and he weighs in on the Kendrick Lamar debate.

Black Milk – “Perfected On Puritan Ave”

Detroit’s musical lineage is in great hands as long as artists like this underrated rapper-producer continue dropping quality like this.

Meek Mill – “Lil N***a Snupe” (Prod. By Boi-1da & The Maven Boys)

After previewing the track numerous times, the MMG rapper debuts an ode to his fallen artist. It’s lyrically the most inspired we’ve heard him rap in a minute too.

Eminem – “Survival” (Prod. By DJ Khalil)

The Shady Records CEO reminded us that he can shake things up at any time with this release.

Earl Sweatshirt ft. Frank Ocean – “Sunday”

The 19-year-old and his rhyming brethren will out-rap a lot of MCs, quiet as kept. Hear exhibit A above.

Big Sean ft. Kendrick Lamar & Jay Electronica – “Control (HOF)”

Ding, ding, ding… and the winner is Kendrick Lamar. And that goes without mentioning the G.O.O.D. Music affiliate and Jay Elect’s quality verses.
