The wife of former President George W. Bush is taking on a new role, this time as a member of the Smithsonian’s Black History board.
With her new position she’ll join the board in charge of raising money for the Smithsonian’s forthcoming National Museum of African American History and Culture scheduled to open in 2015.
Congress will pay for half of the building if investors can cover the rest of the cost.
So far several celebrities have donated to the cost of the building including Oprah and Quincy Jones.
How ironic that the woman whose husband doesn’t care about Black people would take on a role like this.
Wonder what Bush thinks….
