“Enigmatic” is a fitting title when it comes to describing Janelle Monáe. The Electric Lady singer has been captivating audiences since her entry into the game and now that her career is in full swing (and we do mean swing), she’s really seeing her hard work shine on the center stage.
Which brings us to last night where she and her gang of Androids were the musical guests for SNL, hosted by Edward Norton.
Accented by a black and white backdrop with the coinciding colors to match, she tightroped her way to a rousing performance that featured no shortage of energy.
The more subdued “Electric Lady” was the selection for the next set as Ms. Monáe rocked the same ‘ol two step and even busted out a flawless moonwalk while holding on to the microphone stand. If you’re loving the music, it’s readily accessible on her website right here.
Additionally, the ubiquitous Miley Cyrus appeared on the monologue to announce her new tour and comedian Taran Killam (of Nick Cannon’s Wild ‘N Out fame), dropped a special web-only Halloween ditty exclusive to your computer screen.
