Before French Montana was earning his wages with Diddy and Rick Ross, selling out shows, and buying pet monkeys, he was the running mate of rising Harlem rapper Max B. Today, a visual for a track from that era titled “Do For Drugs” hits the Internets.

This is a compilation of footage showing the rapping duo together. There’s also a few news clips of Max B’s infamous case, which, as we know, landed him in jail for 75 years for conspiracy to armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and murder.

The track itself is inspired by Bobby Caldwell’s “What You Won’t Do For Love,” or perhaps in this case, 2Pac Shakur’s more recent “Do For Love.” Nevertheless, the cut shows Wavy Crockett at his best, and French Montana, who at the time was still coming into his own.
