There goes the neighborhood. Since the craze over Air Jordan sneakers seems to heighten each year, Jordan Brand has teamed up with Footaction to create the first Jordan Brand-only store in North America.
The retail space, coined Flight 23, will be located in the mecca of basketball, New York City, on 34th Street between 7th and 8th Avenue. That’s right near Madison Square Garden, and only a few blocks from Times Square, if you didn’t know.
At the moment, it’s still a construction site, but it certainly doesn’t look conventional. An 18-foot replica of an Air Jordan shoe box separates the work area from public view. As per Nike, expect information on Flight 23 (and more possible stores) in the next few weeks.
