Bishop Nehru is a new MC from New York City that we recommend you get acquainted with. Twenty-four hours after dropping a visual for “You Stressin,” produced by Disclosure, he returns with a full explanation for the cut via Life + Times’ “Decoded” series.
Nehru explained how he didn’t know how to approach the song initially, but that changed with a few listens. “After a couple of times listening to it, it put in me more of a kind of happier mood, so I knew it was gonna take it [the song] in a lighter direction,” he said.
The result is a record weaved with tough punchlines from a 17-year-old whose rhyming ability spans far past his years.
