The so-called beef between Jay Z and Drake has been a slow simmering affair, this after Hov allegedly took another swipe at Drizzy on a new DJ Khaled track he’s featured on. However, the Brooklyn mogul may have bigger fish to fry after angering Major League Lacrosse players and fans after saying the sport is soft.
“Haters wanna ball, let me tighten up my drawstring / Wrong sport, boy, you know you soft as a lacrosse team,” rapped Jay Z on DJ Khaled’s “They Don’t Love You No More” from his forthcoming I Changed A Lot album.
Naturally, Jay Z haters, pro-lacrosse types and so-called “#LaxBros” took to Twitter to challenge Hov on his knowledge of the game and even stooped to saying his bars were full of struggle.
There’s no telling whether or not Jay Z was going at Drake in the line, considering that the Toronto Raptors and the Brooklyn Nets are in the playoffs adds to the potential exchange of trash talk. Lacrosse definitely caught one on the chin, though.
We have a way to settle this. How about Drake and Jay Z assemble a couple of lacrosse teams from their respective neighborhoods and host a game? We’d pay to see that struggle.
