It’s very hard to avoid DJ Khaled and with good reason. On the road to release his eighth, yes we said eighth, album, he stopped by The Breakfast Club to detail his come up and address some much needed updates.

Ever the hype machine, the Miami native was in rare form as he talked up his upcoming I Changed A LotBut in a surprise turn Khaled opened up and let the listeners into who he really is after the cameras go off.

DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God had some very interesting questions regarding his longevity, creating music magic, getting the first verse from a newly freed Remy Ma, his fear of flying and more.

So we present the top 9 things we learned from The Breakfast Club DJ Khaled interview. The stories about him playing basketball for $80,000 dollars was our favorite moment, let us know your favorite segment in the comments section below.

1. Remy Ma

DJ Khaled actually suggested that Remy spend time with her family on the day of her release but she came to speak to him at the studio. When he talked about doing a record with her in the near future she did her verse for the “They Don’t Love You No More” remix on the spot.

2. Hoop Life

Khaled loves to play basketball and often bets thousands of dollars on friendly games. Thus far he has beaten Meek Mill, French Montana, Jeramih and Busta Rhymes. We are still waiting to see if he will ever play 2Chainz though.

3. Wifey

Khaled admitted that he takes care of his significant other with whatever she wants due to him always working.

4. Radio

Even though that’s where he got his start, Khaled doesn’t have the schedule that allows him to commit to an ongoing slot on the airwaves.

5. Mom Dukes

Even though it was rumored French Montana captured the video of DJ Khaled’s mother, Khaled has never asked Frenchie about it as he doesn’t want to feed into negativity.

6. Drake

When asked who is the hardest to get on a record Khaled said Drake is very particular about the records he does.

7. Jay Z

It took a total of five years to see a DJ Khaled and Jay Z collaboration come to life.

8. Peace

Khaled is all about peace and further championed a treaty between Palestine and Israel.

9. Planes

Ironically Khaled was the one who convinced Fat Joe to drop his fear of flying. But Khaled hasn’t flown in about six years and doesn’t see himself ever going up again.
