Danny Green may have been pivotal in helping his team win the 2014 NBA Finals, but that didn’t earn him any slack when decided to take a selfie in front of the Berlin Holocaust museum.
The San Antonio Spurs are currently overseas for an exhibition game and the star guard decided to give his social media a history lesson when he ill-advisedly posted: “You know I had to do it one time lol #Holocaust.”
Naturally, Green didn’t mean any disrespect but his stint in another time zone must have made him forget the lone cardinal rule of social media: All users have the right to be offended by anything that hits the web.
After seeing the outrage mount up on his timeline, Green quickly apologized and edited his caption.
The apology sailed over many angry Twitter user’s heads and there was plenty of slander directed Mr. Green’s way.
