If you’re familiar with the Love & Hip Hop franchise, seeing D-list female celebrities throw hands in front of VH1’s cameras isn’t a particularly new sight. The latest bout found Hazel E and Masika of Love & Hip Hop fighting over Yung Berg—who admittedly is no stranger to being on the wrong end of a knuckle sandwich himself.
Tabloid culture can sometimes produce short memories though, as the list of famous women down to throw punches in public cuts across all kinds of socioeconomic lines. Hit the jump and see the celebrity ladies down to slap, punch and kick someone when the occasion calls for it.

There’s irrefutable video proof Solange Knowles is down to put hands on someone—even her brother-in-law, Jay Z—if the occasion calls for it. Be forewarned.
We’re glad she’s home now, but Remy Ma was presumably down for at least a punch or two when she allegedly tussled with Makeda Barnes-Joseph in 2007. All we know for sure is Remy was found guilty of two assault charges and served six years in prison after allegedly shooting Barnes.
A good fight on either MTV’s Road Rules or The Real World is par for the course, and Tonya Cooley and Veronica Portillo obliged during a 2009 episode of The Ruins. After some slick talk from Veronica, Tanya provided the type of slaps and hair pulling that easily gets a woman on this list.
If you put your unguarded face near another person during a confrontation, you might get your face slapped. Abby Lee Miller learned the unwritten rule of facial slaps the hard way on the Lifetime show Dance Moms when Kelly Hyland put hands on her.
The every-present lenses of TMZ weren’t around when Brenda Richie allegedly caught her husband Lionel Richie creeping with another woman. The soon-to-be-ex Mrs. Richie was ultimately released on $5,000 bail on charges including suspicion of corporal injury to a spouse, resisting arrest, trespassing, vandalism, battery and disturbing the peace.
“I was raised with two boys, and I would fight you back,” the late Whitney Houston told Oprah Winfrey in a 2009 interview. That pretty much cleared up any misgivings about who did the hitting in Houston’s marriage to singer Bobby Brown.
Actress and video vixen Tawny Kitaen made a $500 donation to a battered-women’s shelter and paid $400 in court costs in 2002 to avoid domestic abuse charges in conjunction with a spat with her husband, St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Chuck Finley.
In July of 2013, actress Emma Roberts was arrested and quickly released without being charged after allegedly leaving her boyfriend Evan Peters with a bloody nose and bite marks from Roberts. Love hurts.
Stormy Daniels’ name read Stephanie Clifford on the official police report when the adult actress was arrested on suspicion of assaulting her husband Michael Mosny in 2009. The charges were later dropped.
Embattled That ‘70s Show actress Lisa Robin Kelly was going through it. Kelly was arrested in March of 2012 on a felony charge of corporal injury on a spouse, but the charges were dropped when Kelly and the man in question refused to cooperate.
Do remember that Joan Marie Laurer was once better known as the heralded WWE wrestler Chyna. She’s been outspoken against domestic abuse, and in 2005 she caught a domestic battery arrest for an alleged spat with her husband Sean “X-Pac” Waltman.
Vanessa Romanelli exhibited some Grade A hair snatching and punching on A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila. Romanelli was rejected for her rival Brandi, and a couple minutes of reality show goodness broke out.
Jenni “JWoww” Farley is mom with degrees in both computer programming and graphic design. But that didn’t stop her from duffing out Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola during an episode of Jersey Shore. She gets extra points for swinging with a closed fist too.
If you want to see a woman completely at ease scrapping in public, do a Google search on the phrase “Natalie Nunn fight.” While the most infamous beatdown may be her tussle with Mehgan James, Bad Girls Club star Nunn is down to throw punches, slap and pull hair in a good brawl.
Shout out to Love & Hip Hop: New York’s Tahiry Jose. Any woman down to expose her delicate hand to Consequence’s teeth by throwing a punch has earned a place on this list.
Porsha Williams doesn’t have the acclaim of Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Nene Leakes or Kandi Burruss, but she does have hand skills. During a RHOA reunion show, Williams wasted no time taking Kenya Moore to the ground and following up with some wild swings.
