After it was unanimously decided that Darren Wilson would not face any charges over the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, angry citizens took to the streets and to their timelines. The social media community rolled up its collective sleeve and prompted African Americans to #BoycottBlackFriday.
It’s not the final solution, but imagine if we all didn’t purchase anything this Thanksgiving weekend? Even putting your money into Black-owned and local businesses would do more justice than to trample your neighbors over the latest tech gadget at Walmart.
