In September 2013, Brown spoke to Jet magazine about how it’s unfair that he can’t shake his past. He then brought up how no one talks about Jay Z’s past as if they’re even close to being on the same level.
“No disrespect, because I’m a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that he stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass.”
