Laz Alonso in Cuba
This might be an equal mix of wishful thinking and the benefit of the doubt. Recently lifted restrictions didn’t exactly make outreach and visiting in Cuba advantageous. But Alonso partnered with American Airlines for the Travel Brilliantly initiative, and has been an outspoken proponent of Latin people embracing all sides of their lineage—much like his Afro-Cuban heritage.
