A 45-year-old former middle teacher who got off easy with a termination for “an inappropriate relationship” feels like she’s entitled to be paid to “school” a new crop of youngsters.

Claudia Tillery was employed at Stephen Decatur Middle School in Brooklyn for fifteen years until she was fired after a multitude of evidence pretty much indicated she was guilty as charged. The New York Post finds that she exchanged more than 8,000 text messages with her 12-year-old student (referring to him as “babe” in some), took him to a motel on seven different occasions where DNA for both of them was found on a bed comforter and gave him $500 in cash and gifts.

The student testified they had sexual intercourse and oral sex on several occasions but somewhere down the line, the prosecution didn’t have their ducks in a row and a jury acquitted Tillery last April, three years after she was fired. However, the hearing officer, Haydee Rosario, isn’t here for any of that.

According to theGrio, Rosario stated, “In this case, the record is replete with evidence, including the DNA analysis report that corroborates the credible account given by Student A.”

She also wasn’t too big on Tilery’s claims that the minor “concocted a grand conspiracy and coerced her, a middle-school teacher, to ignore sound judgment and to put him into a fleabag motel and give him hundreds of dollars.”

Sounds about right.
