The difference between what a typical shake joint patron calls being “a**hole naked” and what is referred to as a tasteful, artistic nude can be as simple as the lighting and background.
There’s also the matter of being showered with dollar bills covered in hot wing sauce, but that’s neither here nor there. These 12 female celebs who bared it all for art determined the difference, and gladly disrobed once the choice was made.

Erykah Badu
Fat Belly Bella was legit heated when the nude footage of her and Nayrock appeared in the since-banned video for “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” by The Flaming Lips. When Badu stripped it all off for her own “Window Seat” video, there were no complaints.
Amber Rose
After applying her unique brand of thirst trapping to Instagram flicks and red carpet appearances, Amber Rose turned up the heat for her book, How To Be A Bad B***h by casting herself as a semi-nude archer.
Miley Cyrus
Count Miley Cyrus among the women who have stripped down for PAPER magazine too. The only thing standing between viewers and Miley in her birthday suit is a pig.
Kim Kardashian
Besides “artistic” nudes for Playboy, W, and PAPER magazine, Kimmy Cakes included the leaked, naked shot she took of herself for her book of selfies.
Rihanna
At this point, seeing Rihanna in the buff isn’t anything new. But just because Rihanna’s bared it all for LUI magazine and other outlets doesn’t mean anyone was mad at peeping her covered in nothing but money for the “B***h Better Have My Money” video.
Beyoncé
The only thing stopping you from seeing Mrs. Carter’s goodies on the June 2013 cover edition of FLAUNT magazine was a bunch of strategically placed Swarovski crystals.
Chrissy Teigen
There are at least two documented cases of Chrissy Teigen having her Instagram pictures banned for nudity. So she and husband John Legend skipped IG altogether by opting for some nudes on the beach for DuJour.
Lake Bell
Scott Campbell and Lake Bell also jumped in on the husband and wife nudity when Campbell painted a rose over Bell’s naughty bits for her New York Magazine pictorial.
Naomi Campbell
Her feet might be busted, and her weave game can be hit or miss. But by baring it all for the February 2010 edition of Love magazine, Naomi Campbell proved everything else was on point.
Lady Gaga
Since Gaga fashions everything she does as some form of Warhol-inspired pop art, you can start with 2009’s “Love Game” and the unreleased video for 2014’s “Do What U Want” as examples of her plying her craft.
Eva Longoria
Much like Beyonce and Gaga before her, Longoria proudly rocked some shimmery crystals and nothing else for the Spanish version of ELLE magazine in 2013.
Penelope Cruz
The annual Pirelli calendar always carries the perception of taking an artful and classy approach to female nudity, and the 2007 edition featuring Penelope Cruz was no exception.
