Not every star can be Jamie Foxx and win Academy and Grammy Awards, although many would like to be.
Tisha Campbell Martin just dropped her new video, “Steel Here” with a powerful message yet marginal execution.
Nevertheless, many have done much worse than her. Peep this amusing list of celebrities who tried to sing for various reasons and got little to nowhere.

Kim Kardashian w/ “Jam (Turn It Up)”
Kim K. fans were clamoring for a solo encore after this party starter. So low nobody would hear the next one.
Terrence Howard’s Shine Through It Album (2008)
Howard is pretty good at portraying music stars (Empire, Hustle & Flow, The Best Man) and that all but sums up his range as a real-life artist.
Paris Hilton w/ “Come Alive”
The world renown heiress released an album in 2006 with Scott Storch and Dr. Luke production and several songs with Cash Money, but history will tell you what happened to that LP. She now gets paid thousands of dollars to DJ in Vegas nightclubs.
Eddie Murphy w/ “Red Light”
Depending on who you ask, the Rick James-assisted “Party All the Time” is either a 80s or comedy classic. No one ever took his musical career serious which is probably why he hasn’t released an album since 1993. The song above with the artist formerly known as Snoop Lion never had an album home, either.
Bruce Willis w/ “Respect Yourself”
Yep, the 80s had many a star feeling invincible in the sound proof booth. At least The Staple Singers got cut a check.
Amber Rose w/ “Loaded”
Like Kim K., Rose dabbled in music for a bit as she figured out what to do with her sizeable fame. To be fair, this isn’t too far off from the quality of a chunk of today’s “hits” so who knows where she would be if she had stuck with it.
Meagan Good w/ the Hello Girls
The Minority Report star tried her hand at singing and managing a band for a small portion of last decade. Um…yeah.
Raven-Symoné w/ “Thick Girls, Big Girls”
The View co-host doesn’t seem to be sure about too much these days and the same outlier can be put on her four-album music career, which ranged from Missy Elliott-written rap to bubblegum pop.
Naomi Campbell w/ “All Through The Night”
There pretty much isn’t anything a supermodel doesn’t get a pass at attempting but that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. The same can be said for the former Empire star’s short-lived earbleeding sessions.
Tyra Banks w/ “Shake Ya Body”
Refer back to Naomi Campbell’s caption.
Tatyana Ali w/ “All Day Dreaming” & “Boy You Knock Me Out”
Ashley Banks enjoyed minimal success as a singer on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air but when her real-life counterpart dove deep in the biz, the attempt fell flatter than the R&B samples she was crooning over. And yes kids, that’s Peter Gunz of Love & Hip Hop: New York fame in the first video. The second features Big Willie butchering his “Summertime” classic.
Scarlett Johansson w/ “Falling Down”
Scarlett Jo may be quite the looker and may even be listenable throughout an entire movie but singing and selling records isn’t her forte. Her 2008 debut Anywhere I Lay My Head sold 5,100 its first week. If Twitter was what it is today back then, she would have been dragged.
Philip Michael Thomas w/ “Just The Way I Planned It”
Everything about PMT and Miami Vice screamed 1980s and that’s where his career was born and buried.
