Skateboards probably aren’t the first thing that comes to mind when you think of A$AP Ferg. Nevertheless, adidas Skateboarding announced today that they have partnered with the Harlem rapper to create the Traplord x Adi-Ease footwear and apparel collection.
The collection is actually based around the graphic artwork of Ferg and also serves as a homage to his late friend and A$AP Mob founder A$AP Yams.
Says adidas Skateboarding:
The Traplord Adi-Ease shoe features a premium black suede upper, signature Traplord logo accents, metallic gold badging, satin lining, printed laces and A$AP Ferg’s aka the ‘Hood Pope,’ painting of Yams reflected on the sockliner.
The Traplord x adidas Yams T-Shirt is a close-up of Ferg’s tribute to Yams, who is depicted holding the world in his arms. The yellow beam coming from his eyes represents the vision he had for changing the world. The buildings embody the concrete jungle that A$AP Ferg and Yams grew up in and the abstract shapes signifies their erratic environment. The use of the color blue represents the blueprint A$AP Mob.
You’ll be able to pick up the Traplord x Adi-Ease Collection at specialty retailers in the U.S. and at adidas Skateboarding beginning December 5.
