As the white Bronco rolls through the highway, the road to freedom seems to be getting that much longer for OJ Simpson.
In the second episode The People V. OJ Simpson, the Juice is still loose, his relationship with Robert Kardashian officially becomes a bromance, and Robert Shapiro shows his true colors in the face of controversy.

And while all these things unfold on national TV much to the dismay of Marcia Clark, Gil Garcetti, and NBA fans everywhere, one of the biggest questionmarks here is, why is Kato still hanging out with OJ’s family?

The relationship between OJ Simpson and Robert Kardashian continues to ascend to weird and almost awkward  levels of awe. The man who OJ’s son referred to as “Uncle Bobby” continues to find himself on the brink of a nervous breakdown because of the worry that the former Buffalo Bills running back is putting him through.

Unbeknownst to anyone, OJ Simpson and AC crept through the Cemetery where Nicole was buried in the white Bronco. Not exactly returning to the scene of the crime, but not a good look either. Not that it matters anymore.

Had it not been for two hippies who noticed AC and OJ on the highway who pulled over just to drop dime on them, OJ and AC might’ve made it all the way to Mexico, or whatever the plan might’ve been.

AC Cowlings (who the police referred to as a “poor man’s OJ”) purchased the same exact white Bronco as OJ because he worshipped him.

Robert Kardashian presumed the worst and told the Simpson household that OJ had likely committed suicide only to see the infamous white Bronco chase unfold on TV seconds after making the announcement to the mortified family.

The Bronco chase became the first clip of live reality television to captivate the nation. So much so it superseded the full telecast of the 1994 NBA Finals. New York still harbors resentment for Sam Cassell for what he did that day as well.

When speaking to the police, OJ was real polite and apologetic to them for making them work extra hard on a Friday afternoon.

OJ almost didn’t make it to trial. When he got out the Bronco to enter his home, which was surrounded by armed police, he was clutching picture frames which caused one cop yelled “He’s got a gun!” Had it not been for Robert Kardashian yelling it was pictures, OJ would’ve become yet another unarmed Black man killed by police.

Knowing the kind of circus it would become and racial consequences it would carry, Chrisopher Darden’s father told him to “Stay the hell away” from the Simpson trial.
