Fans, friends, and family gathered at Atlanta’s Blue Ivy Lounge Tuesday (March 8) night for a candlelight vigil honoring the tragically short life of Bankroll Fresh. The 28-year-old rapper, born Trentavious White, was shot to death last week at the Street Execs recording studio located on the northeast side of Atlanta.
Though 50 shell casings were found at the shooting scene, it’s unclear how many actually hit Fresh. No suspects or motive have been revealed, as the investigation is ongoing. However, residents want the studio where Fresh was killed to be shut down.
2 Chainz was among those attending the vigil for Fresh, who was affiliated with his label. Fresh’s grandmother also spoke on his passing during the vigil. “I’m messed up, everybody’s messed up,” she said of losing her grandson before giving her theory on why he was killed. “People are jealous of him. They didn’t want him to get on his feet.”
