Michael Jordan has, perhaps unfairly, gained the reputation of being a curmudgeon and that stance was supported by a recent story shared by Queens veteran, N.O.R.E. While N.O.’s tale that His Airness hates all rappers save for Jay Z went viral, Jordan debunked all the chatter by way of an exclusive TMZ report.

N.O.R.E. was a guest on the Rap Radar podcast and told the now-infamous story of how he and other rap figures such as Method Man and Redman were at a Def Jam event. Allegedly, Jordan told partygoers “F*ck rap” and refused to meet with some of the artists much to N.O.R.E.’s chagrin. The details from TMZ tell an entirely different story, however.

From TMZ:

He went into great detail … saying Jordan would only speak with Jay Z at the party — blowing off the other rappers in the process.

But MJ’s rep, Estee Portnoy, says it’s just not true — telling TMZ Sports, “MJ wasn’t at this party, doesn’t know N.O.R.E., and is a fan of ALL music.”

She adds, “Drake is in his brand, and Nelly is a partner of his with the Charlotte Hornets.”

Plus, don’t forget the video of MJ gettin’ down to “Wobble” back in July.

This man LOVES hip-hop!

Not sure if doing the Wobble counts as one loving Hip-Hop, buy hey. Good for Michael Jordan. Check out N.O.R.E.’s comments in the clip below too.
