With lean and pills becoming the topic of so many songs nowadays, it makes you forget the days when the green leaf was the only inspiration some of your favorite rappers needed.

While everybody knows that Snoop Dogg, Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa have the “weed song” game on lock, here are some lesser known and overlooked jams that you may want to throw into the rotation today. Happy 420!

Slimm Cutta Calhoun – “How Much Can I” (2001)

The first artist signed to Outkast’s now defunct Aquemini label was Slimm Cutta Calhoun and his debut album The Skinny had some joints on there. One [pun intended] joint on there was the slow-burning “How Much Can I.” Eventhough this track is pretty much an interlude that has Sleepy Brown singing over it with not one Slimm Calhoun verse in sight, you can’t deny that this is was one of the more memorable moments on this overlooked album.
