Ever since getting name dropped in Drake’s classic diss record “Back To Back,” Ar-Ab’s seen his clout experience an unexpected rise. In one fell swoop the Philadelphia rapper went from a local star to social media celebrity to potentially Cash Money’s newest signee.
Ar-Ab stopped by The Breakfast Club where he spoke to Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee about how he ended up signing with Cash Money, how Drake’s namedrop affected him, and how his rap career interferes with his religious beliefs.
See what else he had to say in eight things we learned about Ar-Ab on The Breakfast Club on the following pages.

2. Drake
Even though Drake dropped his name in “Back To Back,” Ar-Ab still hasn’t spoken to the Canadian crooner. He does credit the 6 God with lining his pockets with show money and giving him 100,000 new followers.

3. Newfound Fame
Even though his newfound fame has gotten much attention from women (credits Drake for that) he claims he’s been “faithful for the longest.”

4. Protecting his Family From Himself
Being that he’s not that far removed from being ‘bout that life – much less the crew he keeps around him – Ar-Ab doesn’t like having his kids around him because anything can happen at any moment.

5. Getting Shot
Ar-Ab’s been shot 13 times. 10 times once when he was in his car. If 50 getting shot 9 times helped him go fix times platinum then Ar should go diamond by today’s new RIAA rules.

As crazy as Kevin Gates may come off, he and Ar-Ab talk a lot about religion together. Who saw that one coming?
