Stephon Marbury Wouldn’t Play For The Knicks Even If He Had A Gun To His Dome

Stephon Marbury’s tenure with the New York Knicks between 2003 and 2008 was a rocky one, to say the least. From underachieving on the basketball court to testifying about his inappropriate relations with a Knicks intern in an actual court of law, Starbury’s days playing for his hometown were anything but glamorous.
So it’s no surprise that when asked on social media if he’d consider solving the Knicks current point guard problem with a return to Madison Square Garden, the Brooklynite from Coney Island emphatically stated, “Not at Gun point!!”
And why would he? Since leaving the NBA and getting a clean slate in the Chinese Basketball Association the once embattled point guard has reached heights he may have never seen on the state side of things.
Since touching down in the country of a billion people, Marbury has led his Beijin Ducks to three championships, had a museum open in Beijin dedicated to his career, and even inspired a musical based on his life to open in China’s capital. Talk about redemption.
So sorry Knicks fans, it seems like there’s nothing that can motivate Stephon Marbury to throw on the orange and blue again. Not even if his life depended on it.
Check the posts yourself below and on the flip to see just how deep his resentment for the New York Knickerbockers runs.
