A Santa Claus in North Carolina sent a boy home crying after he told him he needed to do this holiday season.
Sitting on Santa Claus‘ lap and telling him what you want for Christmas is supposed to be a highlight for a child. But for 9-year old Anthony Mayse of Forest City, N.C. it wound up being a nightmare.
Young Mayse’s mother took him to see Forest City Santa she noticed that he was crying when he got off his lap. It wasn’t because Santa told him that he wasn’t getting the iPod Touch and drone that he wanted for Christmas.
According to Mayse, “When he got done, he said, ‘Lay off the hamburgers and french fries.’ And that really just disrespected me, and I felt awful.”
Sounds like Santa‘s leg had enough that day.
Mayse’s mother Ashley says that Santa’s demeanor was already foul when they got there and that he was acting like he didn’t want to be there. But to take it out on her son? She felt that was rude and wishes for the Forest City Santa to be fired.
A supervisor was notified and Santa wound up apologizing, but boy feels that the apology still wasn’t sincere.
“It affected me so bad that I was crying until I went to bed that night,” young Anthony said. “And I want to say to him, ‘You don’t want to disrespect a 9-year-old. Even though what shape and size you are, it doesn’t matter.'”
No word on if the bad Santa was fired or not.
