Eric Andre took a shot at fans of Kodak Black and XXXTENTACION, saying that the Florida artists both push music that promotes violence. The comedian unleashed his rant against the two Florida rappers on his Twitter page, complete with announcing he’s supporting a campaign to aid women against rape, murder, and domestic violence.
Andre’s rant opened up last Friday and he unleashed a tirade of tweets aiming at the rising rap stars, specifically angered that outlets like World Star Hip Hop promote their music. Although Andre’s message seemed to get lost at a point, it was clear that his intent was shouting down violence and sexism against women.
“Why are we not ok with neo nazis but we listen to rappers who beat and rape women??? #humanrights,” Andre tweeted. He followed with, “To clarify – I’m against beating pregnant women. Am I in the minority?”
With fans chiming in asking him to make his point clearer, although he already did so, Andre doubled down with a response.
“[I] was only talking about XXXTENTACION and Kodak Black. i think people are confused. I sound like f*cking Tipper Gore,” Andre quipped.
