It seems bootleggers no longer care enough to watch over their shoulder for the law. A counterfeit Yeezy retail store has just been opened in China.

Located in the Zhejiang Province of Wenzhou, the brick and mortar operation peddles knock-off Yeezy sneakers with no shame. Patrons can buy fake Yeezy Boost 350 V2’s in the original colorways and even have an option to customize their pair. The kicks are not intended to be perfect replicas though as the signature text reads “Yeezy 550” versus “SPLY-350.

In what has to be the boldest move about this entire jig is that the owner reportedly is in the legal right to run the store. According to a report by the Chinese Network the company had filed the proper paperwork on November 21, 2013; the date Kanye officially severed his ties to Nike. “Some time ago, the relevant authorities have ruled that the Yeezy trademark, which we registered with our company, is valid” explained Mr. Hu.
The sneakers are cheaper than the original but still carry a respectable price point of $150.00 dollars. Hu claims to have “imported luminous materials” and uses “Taiwan water-based plastic technology” to come as close as possible to the original adidas release. Considering this has been in the works for almost four years it should come as no surprise that Hu is already working on a second location.
Kanye nor adidas have yet to formally comment on the bogus shop but we can only imagine that legal action is soon to come. You can peep photos of the Yeezy store in the following pages.
