Terry Crews revealed a series of disturbing details of a sexual assault he claims happened during an encounter with a powerful Hollywood executive. The muscle-bound actor took to Twitter to discuss his alleged ordeal, this coming in the wake of Harvey Weinstein‘s ongoing scandal.
“This whole thing with Harvey Weinstein is giving me PTSD. Why? Because this kind of thing happened to ME,” Crews tweeted Tuesday (Oct. 10) afternoon. He continued with, “My wife n I were at a Hollywood function last year n a high-level Hollywood executive came over 2 me and groped my privates.”
Crews went on the say that the unnamed executive just grinned at him after his inappropriate gesture, and said that he remained silent because he didn’t want to suffer any career backlash.
“I understand and empathize with those who have remained silent. But Harvey Weinstein is not the only perpetrator,” Crews said near the conclusion of his 16-tweet retelling. He closed with, “Hopefully, me coming forward with my story will deter a predator and encourage someone who feels hopeless.”
