Lil Peep, a rising young rapper who spoke openly of his drug use, is dead eat the age of 21. Although an official report from a coroner has yet to surface, signs are pointing to a suspected drug overdose as the cause.
TMZ reports:
Lil Peep’s body was reportedly found on the bus during a stop Wednesday in Arizona. He had posted a photo earlier in the day with what appear to be prescription pills in his mouth and the caption, “fucc it.”
Peep was an up-and-comer whose emo lyrics — sometimes rapped, sometimes sung — attracted several celebs in the music biz. Post Malone immediately reacted to his death on social media.
Peep, born Gustav Har, was a native of Long Island Beach, New York and attracted interest from other rappers in his particular lane of moody, downtempo music. Across social media, most especially Twitter, figures such as Juicy J, Post Malone, and Adam22 all expressed their condolences.
