Eve just got a new gig on The Talk and she’s already letting it be known she isn’t afraid to share her opinion, even if it may cause controversy. The Philly rapper turned TV host let it be known she isn’t feeling Nicki Minaj‘s “internet breaking” Paper magazine cover.
You know, the one that looks the cover of a porno flick. Just saying.
Eve made it clear that she worked with Nicki, on Barbershop 3, but from her personal point of view, she doesn’t think the cover was a good look.
“I think in this climate, it’s not good,” she said. “I think every artist has a right to express themselves however they want to express themselves, and I respect that as well.”
She added, “For me, personally, as I started coming up in the business, I started realizing that young girls were looking up to me and younger people were looking up to me. Not that you want to be a role model, but it becomes what you become. It is what you are.”
Eve is a former stripper, so she knows what she’s talking about that. Think about that if you’re a Nicki fan and are already foaming at the mouth.
“For the Nicki fans, cause I know I’ma get some tweets. I love her, respect. Go women in Hip-Hop. It’s not my thing. I just don’t think it’s right. Personally. Period. That’s it.”
