Donald Glover‘s creative streak over the past year and change has been recognized at various levels, including hauling in a pair of Emmy Awards for his hit series, Atlanta. The artist also known as Childish Gambino continues to haul in the nods after he was nominated for five Grammy Awards which has Black Twitter reacting in celebration.
Glover, as Gambino, is up for some of the top awards including Record Of The Year for his “Redbone” single that was featured in Get Out, and the album that features that track Awaken My Love! is up for Album Of The Year. And while Atlanta won practically everything this year, it wasn’t readily clear what nominations The Recording Academy would lavish upon Glover’s critically-acclaimed studio album.
