A woman fought off a neighbor and dragged him out of her house by his beard after he let himself in and took his clothes off.
The 64 year old woman said she awoke about 12:50 a.m. Tuesday to find her neighbor standing over her naked.
He allegedly grabbed her arm and said he was “just being friendly.” The woman then grabbed his beard and dragged him to the door in the 3200 block of Oakland Avenue. As she tried to throw him out, he allegedly grabbed the woman’s throat, leaving her no choice but to pick up a tape measure and hit him in the head three times with it before he left.
Jackson County prosecutors charged the neighbor, Laurence K. Saunders, with burglary, sexual misconduct and two counts of assault. He will be in jail until he can come up with his $50,000 bond.
Court records also said Saunders had let himself into the woman’s house on Monday, too. In that case, he walked in without knocking and told her that her dog had escaped out her rear door. He told her that “anyone could enter” because it was left open.
Maybe not as funny as Antoine Dodson, but give the lady some props!
