Mike Tyson is making headlines after being announced as the next possible boxing ambassador of China.

Gary Yang, an executive with Tianjin International Sports Development in China and his partner Qing Yu, broke the news during a press conference Thursday when they announced a deal for Tyson to visit and scout boxers for a series of matches.

Tyson tells the Associated Press that although he’s not quite sure what a boxing ambassador does, he’s excited about his upcoming position.

“I didn’t even know what an ambassador really was, When I think of ambassadors I think of living off government money and jet-setting with girlfriends.”

When asked about the exact details of Tyson’s visit, Yang told the AP that he’d be looking for talent at boxing shows and possibly selling tickets.

Yang also added that Tyson is bigger in China than another notable boxing great, Muhammad Ali.

“Chinese people just love Mr. Tyson,” he said. “He’s above (Muhammad) Ali there, though I shouldn’t say that.”

Government approval will be needed for the boxer who joked with the press that he was “clueless” about his upcoming trip in December saying,

“I’m just as clueless as you, but I’m an ambassador so I should have some say.”
