Man MTV, as long as you continue to let Diddy make these reality shows, I guess the reign of Bad Boy will never stop. Although it had clearly ran off the cliff musically, Diddy’s presence on television is unshaken and incomparable as he has partnered with the station as well as Mark Burnett to bring “Starmaker.”

Diddy is currently running the reality series “Making His Band” where he will be conducting a nationwide search for musicians which will be able to make up his band for his tour “Last Train to Paris.” He has been auditioning singers, drummers, guitarists, etc. The upcoming series will have 14 artists competing for an exclusive recording contract from Bad Boy Records as well as having their career launch under the supervision of Diddy.

That’s right the guy that brought such great acts as The Notorious B.I.G., 112, Mase, Faith Evans, and the L.O.X. The fact that they may no longer be as evident is only a minor technicality, but someone can’t steer another person’s career forever and sometime they have to take the wheel.

The Bad Boy boss will not go at it alone as he will be enlisting the help of guests such as Pete Wents, Lady Gaga, Nicole Schersinger and Kelly Rowland in judging the acts. The show will premiere on August 16 starting at 10 p.m. and will be hosted by Kimberly Caldwell.

The competition will show contestants showcasing their talents each week to some big names within the music industry and will be given challenging tasks from Diddy such as performing in front of an audience and handling photo shoots and the notorious paparazzi.

For those that immediately had a question mark when the name Mark Burnett came up, he is a leading executive producer for primetime television, cable and the Internet. He has been a driving force behind successful series’ like Survivor, The Apprentice, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, and many more. Point, blank, period, Burnett is on it when it comes to making a hit on the tube. His credentials have named him to be one of the most influential people in the world by TIME Magazine.

In terms of actual music, the mogul known as Sean Combs is in the works of finishing up his upcoming Last Train To Paris and has been rumored to tell a story of Diddy finding the woman of his dreams, then losing her, and through countless fall outs he finally finds her again. He has also formed a group named Dirty Money which is composed of himself, Dawn Richards, formerly of Danity Kane, and a singer named Kalenna to help pull the project together musically.
