When like-minded people team up to achieve a common goal, generally, there is success.
That must be the reason that a number of already established rap artists including Jay-Z and Kanye are linking up, forming mini groups in the name of making a patchwork musical creation.
Other recent makeshift crews like 9th Wonder and David Banner, Nottz and Asher Roth, Slaughter House, Nas and Damien Marley, 213, Red and Meth and even the Jay-Z/R. Kelly experiment prove that there are still artists willing to step outside the box.
With rumored projects from Too Short and E-40, Rick Ross and Diddy, Drake and Lil Wayne and even D-Block and Wu-Tang, the trend only seems to becoming more popular.
So we came up with some groups of our own who may do good together, for one reason or another…
Click The Page #’s Below
Clipse + Gucci Mane + Young Jeezy =
Group Name: Supreme Clientele
Album: There’s No Business Like Snow Business
Lead Single: “Low Blow”
They have enough powder raps between them to make all the dope boys go crazy. They might as well make an official cocaine compilation.
Rick Ross + Fat Joe + 8 Ball =
Group Name: Big Spenders aka The Fat Boys ‘11
Album: Interstates and Dinner Plates
Lead Single: “Eating Good”
Just think of all the tantalizing tales of moving work across state lines, and the top-notch restaurant reviews that would be exchanged in an album between these three portly powerhouses.
Nicki Minaj + Lil Kim + Foxy Brown =
Group Name: Bad Girls Club
Album: P^ssy Power!
Lead Single: “Do My Ladies Run This M^thaf^cka!”
If these three chics could get over their egos and past beefs long enough to make an LP, it might be worth a buy. Can you imagine what a live stage show with this group would be like? It would no doubt be full of pleasantly surprising, ‘wardrobe malfunctions.’
Plies + LL Cool J + Uncle Luke =
Group Name: Bang Bros
Album: The Show, The Shootout, The Hotel
Lead Single: “Diamonds and Pearl Necklaces”
If the kings of thug love made an album, the promotional tour would single handedly bring back Freaknik.
Andre 3000 + B.o.B + Kanye West =
Group Name: Andre B. West
Album: Untitled
Lead Single: “Dr. Strangelove”
We can only imagine what the cover art, music videos and subject matter of the songs would be. We don’t even know what genre to put this group under. But the lyrical content would be bananas.
Chingo Bling + Pit Bull + The Beatnuts =
Group Name: Spanish Fly
Album: Cosas Que No Se Puede Entender Si No Hablan Espanol
Lead Single: “Fear of A Brown Planet”
These quarto amigos would have the Latin hip-hop lovers on smash with an album in all Spanish. With the Nuts (pause) on the beats and Bling and Bull getting the crowd jumping like double dutch, como pueden perder?
Snoop Dogg + Devin Da Dude + B Real + Wiz Khalifa =
Group Name: High Society
Album: Quitting Is For Losers
Lead Single: “Green and Orange”
This THC soaked super group would produce the stoner album for the ages, if they would be able to stop having smoking sessions in the studio long enough to make it happen.
