Chloe x Halle Bailey might be young but really carry themselves like they’re wise beyond their years. And in a lot of aspects, they are.
In a few short years the sisters from Atlanta have gone from Youtube sensations to Beyoncé’s biggest artists to date. And though they also have recurring roles on Freeform’s Grown-ish, Chloe x Halle continue to ride that music wave that brought them to the forefront.
Today (Aug. 2) the young ladies (accompanied by big poppa Bailey) checked into The Breakfast Club to talk about their road to stardom and humbly explain that they’re living their best life right about now.
From their history with Beyoncé to why they’re not upset with missing out on everyday teen life, Chloe x Halle will give haters a hard time on having reasons to hate on them.
Here are the 7 things we learned from Chloe x Halle on The Breakfast Club.
1. Creation
Chloe and Halle write and produce their music in their living room. They’ve been making music since they were 5 and 7-years-old. And no, they’re not twins.
2. Beyoncé
Beyoncé saw the group’s Youtube cover to “Best Thing I Never Had” and after seeing the rest of their Youtube material contacted them to sign to her label. They originally thought it was a fake email till they saw the label seal on the letter. Interesting enough they had met Beyoncé when they were 2 and 4-years-old. Bey bugged out when she realized that had met years ago. Fate is funny like that sometimes.
3. Teenage Living
Halle feels that even though she’s spent her teen years in the game she hasn’t missed out on being a teen simply because her life presents her opportunities not everyone gets. For example, she said she missed her prom because she was performing at Coachella. Sounds like a formidable upgrade of activities.
4. Too Nice?
They said they came up with the song “Fake” because people who meet them feel that they’re natural kindness is an act. Damn, they must be hella nice in person and yes that would make anyone suspicious. Kudos to them though for being that way.
5. Vegan Life
The two of them have been vegan for the past three years. They got the idea from their mother who went on her spiritual phase and though their mother went back to eating meat, they’ve kept true to the earth.
6. Social Media
Even though social media helped the sisters get to this point in life they admit to taking “social media hiatuses.” All of that negative energy lurking in social media will have people taking breaks. Not to mention all them Russians creeping.
7. Future Ambitions
While Chloe and Halle are currently acting on Grown-ish, they admit that music is in fact their first love. That being said they would love to begin making music for other artists while continuing to delve into their acting careers.
