VIBE’s ‘Respect The West’ Showcase
This weekend The VIBE House, powered by VIBE Magazine and Cashmere Agency presented their 2nd annual “Respect the West” Showcase, along with Stampede Management.
The Showcase was dedicated to the memory of Nate Dogg and featured headliners, Warren G, The Dogg Pound and special surprise guest, Snoop Dogg.
The emotional set featured classic Nate Dogg songs, including “Ain’t No Fun”, “Next Episode” and “Regulate”, in which Snoop Dogg sang the late Nate Dogg’s chorus.

The “Respect The West” showcase also included various up and comers, including performances Young De, Kenan Bell, Casey Veggies, Sick Jacken, Shawn Chrystopher, TiRon, Pac Div, Dom Kennedy, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and Schoolboy Q.
Before the “Respect The West” showcase, VIBE sat down with Warren G to reflect on the passing of his 213 comrade.
According to G, fans can look forward to Nate Dogg’s legacy living on in both him and Snoop Dogg.
“Everytime we worked, everytime we went anywhere we had fun…that’s how we was together, me, Snoop and Nate. We’re still gonna hold it down for em and carry his legacy on. It don’t stop, everything I do Nate is a part of it.”
An obviously still emotional Kurupt also popped on the scene and added,
“That was my big homie, my big brother, ya know?…Nate was everything to us.”
