Nicki Minaj Wants To Start Acting Career
Young Money first lady Nicki Minaj skipped Hot 97’s Summer Jam to appear at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday (June 5) and he move may have been more calculated than people think.
In an interview Sunday with Entertainment Weekly at the awards show, Nicki revealed her love for acting came before her feel for the mic.
“I went to school to be an actress. I never expected to be a rapper. It just fell in my lap,” she said.
She also said that she hopes to return to her thespian ways when finished with her prior obligations.
“I would like to get an acting gig, admitted Minaj. I hope that when I am done with the tour I can go back and do some acting. That is my long-term goal.”
Harajuku Barbie already has a dream co-star and director in mind saying,
“I want to work with Will Smith, because he’s a very successful rapper turned actor and therefore a role model,” Minaj said. “And Tim Burton because I love his crazy imagination. He comes up with these characters that are just so fascinating and the costumes and just creates these whole worlds.”
