BET Awards 2013

Unfortunate occurrences have a tendency to happen at the worst possible moments. Just ask Ace Hood, who received infinite amounts of slander via the Internets — mostly echoing statements that his Rolex was fraudulent — after the bezel of his watch fell off during a live interview on the red carpet of the BET Awards.

Award shows mean red carpets, which mean beautiful people and gorgeous outfits. It also means there will be those who show out in the worst possible way via struggle outfits and bad taste. Last night’s BET Awards were no different.

2 Chainz wasn’t the only artist to debut a video in the midst of the 2013 BET Awards. Ciara also provided a small screen adaptation for her latest single “I’m Out,” featuring Nicki Minaj.

Last night’s BET Awards was one of the best yet, and capped off the BET Experience weekend. But conspicuously absent was Drake, who was nominated for numerous awards. The YMCMB and OVO rapper took to Twitter to explain why he was AWOL; he is finishing up his forthcoming album, Nothing Was The Same.

The show wasn’t quite over after the conclusion of the 2013 BET Awards, because that’s when 2 Chainz decided to premier the visual to his new single “Feds Watching.”

Tonight marked the 2013 BET Awards, and like always, the annual presentation donned a bevy of memorable moments. Among those were show stealing performances by some of Hip-Hop and R&B’s top acts, including artists like Kendrick Lamar, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake, J. Cole and more.
