Casanova is looking for another shot at his freedom. His legal team has formally appealed his prison sentence.
Aside from being a member of the Gorilla Stone Nation Gang, feds hit Casanova with racketeering and narcotics charges and he was also found guilty of participating in a Florida shooting in July 2020, and a New York City robbery in August 2018. Needless to say, he was going to get slapped with hard time.
Casanova, real name Caswell Senior, was sentenced to 15 years in prison due to his ties to a notorious street gang among other charges.
Casanova is hoping to get some leniency from the judge ahead of sentencing.

According to VladTV, on Thursday (Jan 28) a federal magistrate judge has denied Casanova's attempt to get out of jail while awaits court for charges of racketeering and drug trafficking. During the court hearing, U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul Davison stated that while Casanova's defense team provided a "formidable" argument for the "Woah" rapper on $2.5 million bail, but Davison expressed that he was "concerned" about the danger to the community if Casanova was released.
Casanova, who's currently sitting in Federal prison, debuted a smiling photo of him and his children on a video call via Twitter. The Brooklyn rapper is facing 15 years to life if found guilty of charges related to a RICO case stemming from his alleged affiliation with a local street gang.
