Marco McMillian, a gay mayoral candidate in Clarksdale, Miss., was found dead near the Mississippi River on Wednesday (Feb. 27) morning after being reported missing a day prior. Although charges have not been filed, a person of interest has been taken into custody, sparking the possibility of a homicide investigation.

On Tuesday (Feb. 26) morning, a dismembered human body was found in trash bags and a duffel bag by a man walking his dog in the Bronx. NYPD launched investigation, honing in on the female victim’s 23-year-old son as the lead suspect. The man, Bashid McLean, later admitted to police that he committed the gruesome crime.
