Last night, the inaugural iHeartRadio Awards invaded television sets nationwide and featured performances by some of the most relevant musicians in music culture. Representing Hip-Hop were more than worthy candidates Pharrell and Kendrick Lamar.
Pharrell may have had a career-defining moment when he released “Happy” from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack last year, but according to the solo Neptune, it almost was destined to be a hit for the same guy he’s replacing on NBC’s The Voice.
Since sporting the now famed Vivienne Westwood hat at this year’s Grammy Awards, the headpiece has become an essential piece to Pharrell’s ensemble. But this comes after he stirred another conversation on the Internets.
