There’s a higher level of thoughtfulness in West Coast newcomer Vince Staple’s approach to emceeing. That can be heard on his Scoop DeVille produced cut, “Nate,” which he delivered a visual for today.

Eyes have been on Def Jam’s Long Beach acquisition, Vince Staples, since he pulled a Cappadonna on “Winter Warz” on numerous guest verses on Earl Sweatshirt’s Doris LP. If you agree, the young MC has an audible treat in the form of his Shyne Coldchain Vol. 2 mixtape.

Since parting ways from his longtime Rostrum Records indie home, Mac Miller has quietly been losing his religion and finding it again in the studio as his producer alter-ego, Larry Fisherman.

Understanding that it’s difficult to spot talented artists in a sea of struggle rappers, one we personally recommend is Vince Staples.

Watching Movies With the Sound Off is not only one of the best titled LPs of the year. It’s Mac Miller‘s chance to avoid a sophomore jinx. Considering this, it’s no wonder that the Pittsburgh rapper has been very meticulous with his approach this time around.
