The year of the zombie can no longer be blamed on bath salts. Lab tests from Rudy Eugene— the man killed by police after he ate a homeless man’s face— found no traces of bath salts in his system.  According to a medical report released Wednesday (June 27) only traces of marijuana were found in Eugene’s system, putting to bed the notion that his use of the street drug was the cause of the carnivorous attack. “Within the limits of current technology by both laboratories, marijuana is the only drug identified in the body of Mr. Rudy Eugene,” revealed the medical examiner in a statement.

One of Eugene’s ex-girlfriends, Rikkia Cross, refused to accept the notion, that her former significant other may have knowingly committed the act. “Somebody did something to him, somebody put something on him. I know for sure that wasn’t Rudy,” she said. Cross now believes that Eugene was the victim of a “supernatural” affliction.

Cross’ words are a stark contrast to that of Yovonka Bryant who was dating Eugene at the time of the assault, and has launched a campaign to put an end to cannibalism.

From the sounds of it, Cross may want look into psychological counseling before making any further statements.
